Heath Ledger may be gone but he’s certainly not forgotten. It seems before his untimely death he approached Modest Mouse with an idea for their song ‘King Rat’. Although he died before the video was completed he had the whole idea worked out it seems. It’s very powerful and shows, without abate, the inhumaness of whale hunting. Disgusted by the horific reality of this act, he simply flips the concept on its head. The animation is old skool, the music is great and the story is like a scene from a perverse reality. But you can distinctively see Syndney harbour bridge as they’re sailing in towards land -not a world we don’t recognise. Heath you may be gone, but you’re not forgotten!
